CFPA Co-sponsors February 5, 2026 Rally for the NJ Climate Superfund Act

A total of about 40 protesters participated, including at least four from CFPA, in a student-led rally to support the NJ Climate Superfund Act.

As the New Jersey General Assembly members walked into their ceremonial 250th anniversary of the United States session at Nassau Hall, students and others were there calling on them to pass the Polluters Pay for a More Affordable New Jersey Act, and finally hold Big Oil accountable for the climate damage New Jersey communities are paying for.

There were spirited chants throughout, as well as excellent speeches from students and organization leaders -- including CFPA Executive Director Rev. Bob Moore -- who spoke out on affordability, climate resilience, and why this young generation refuses to keep footing the bill for corporate pollution.

This student-led campaign is about visibility and pressure, meeting lawmakers where they are to demand real movement in the 2026 legislative session.
